CTE is skills-based learning
Career Technical Education (CTE) is the application of academic and technical skills and knowledge for a purpose or goal.
The study of scholastic media, the process of learning and applying news literacy, is directly connected to both college and career paths, and many schools across the country are recognizing that connection as a part of CTE. This label can be applied to media classes where students are learning to conduct interviews, photograph, design, create layouts, and market with the end result being a finished publication, news show, social media post, online news, or another media-related goal.
